Established and wholly owned by a local Cambodian family with an international perspective, SUN & MOON group is a young dynamic company but with clear business objectives in line with vision and mission. Founded by Neak Oknha Dr. Chear Ratana and his family, the group continues to expand following the success of an urban hotel business in the burgeoning Asian tourist hub of Phnom Penh. With our leader’s solid and single-minded vision of building more businesses based on this, the group has expanded its footprint to build more hotels, commercial laundry, condominium, private houses, serviced apartment, and more.
Currently, the group is engaged in the hospitality industry through the SUN & MOON hotel group, whilst simultaneously focusing on private residential development through the Borey condominium project, a commercial laundry business, and planned service apartment developments.
Fuelled by the inspiration to become a pioneer of sustainable property development and an innovative hospitality service provider, the group continues to strive to create added value for all its involved and potential stakeholders by ensuring a strong and viable growth, irrespective of the volatility of both business and property cycles, all the time striving for consistent financial stability.

Neak Oknha Dr. CHEAR RATANA
To lead a group of businesses, it requires strong vision and charisma, which in today’s world is somewhat rare. We are proud to have our Chairman,Neak Oknha Dr. Chear Ratana, leading our businesses. Through his leadership and exceptional management style, the group is able to sustain financial health, its business development goals, and its operations activities in such a way that our mission, vision and goals are realistically achievable.
Born in 1967,Neak Oknha Dr. Chear Ratana has experienced a multi-layered life of both struggle and success throughout his life.
On one hand, he gained extensive professional work experience from being a restaurant cashier to a qualified and credited Vice President of a commercial bank. Through his career in businesses, these periods allowed him to experience first-hand varying environments and establishments, all of which have contributed to the person he is today.
On the other hand, his past struggles in life always serve as a reminder to him and his family to be conscious of mentoring the employees within his company in order to better themselves and the environment within they work.
Dr. Chear is also a recognised philanthropist whose causes include the raising of funds to support double arm amputees, ambulance services, and the building of more temples for local Cambodian communities.
